Recycling & Trash Service

Garbage service and recycling is picked up once a week. A trash receptacle is provided to you and will be delivered to your residence after you have requested water service.

Recycling bins are available at City Hall by request. There is no additional charge for a recycling bin.

Trash carts and recycling bins must be set out by 7:00 a.m. on pickup day and removed from the street within 12 hours following collection. Trash and recycling are collected by different trucks and will not be picked up at the same time.

Recyclables that will be picked up are: newspapers, aluminum cans, steel food cans, glass and #1 or #2 plastic bottles (plastic soda bottles or milk jugs).

Citizens may place bulky waste (stoves, refrigerators with the freon removed by a certified technician, water heaters, washers, dryers, furniture and similar items) by their trash cart on collection days. Tree, shrub and brush trimmings or bundled newspapers and magazines must be securely tied together, not exceeding four feet in length and must be 50 lbs or less.
