City Begins Debris Pickup Starting Monday, Feb. 22 - Requests Citizens to Read Plan

Outdoor Burning is not allowed in the City at this time. The City is in the process for obtaining permits from the State to conduct outdoor burning on City property.

Collect all brush and keep it on your property until notified. Please do not place brush and debris next to the street or curb. Pile it on the side of your property. The City is securing two sites for brush drop off and will post notice of the locations soon.


Brush Debris Three Phase Plan from the Lago Vista Recovery Plan


Phase I:   City removal of brush blocking roadways begins Monday 2/22/2021. To report emergency clearing of trees blocking the roadways only, email with location and description.

Phase II:  Resident drop off for brush only at two (2) State permitted locations – To Be Determined. Anticipated second week of March (3/8/2021) Drop Off hours will be 7:30 am - 5:00 pm Mon-Sat. We will notify residents if they are available sooner.

Phase III Beginning March 15th Disbursement of Dumpsters at 5-7 locations around the City for storm related demolition debris. NO Brush, household or hazardous waste will be taken. No Construction debris. These locations will be manned from 7:30 am -5:00 pm Mon-Sat. This plan is subject to modification.
