Recovery Resources at City Hall Now Anticipated to Continue Through Sunday, February 28.

Many in our immediate area are still facing extreme challenges due to the storm such as no water (drinking or otherwise) due to plumbing issues, financial strain from necessary repairs and loss of wages, and the inability to get to stores or find other resources they need.

Resources located at City Hall are anticipated to continue through Sunday, February 28. We encourage everyone in need to take advantage of these two onsite disaster recovery resources.

SHOWERS

The City of Lago Vista has acquired and set up shower trailers at City Hall. We welcome anyone in the area (do not need to be a citizen of Lago Vista) to come and enjoy a warm shower.

There are separate shower trailers for men and women. Each trailer has 8 private showers. There is also a large ADA accessible shower. (Please bring personal shampoo, soap, and towel.)

Portable, regularly serviced restrooms are on site.

BOIL WATER NOTICE HAS BEEN LIFTED.
BUT FOR SOME, GETTING DRINKING WATER
IS STILL A CHALLENGE

Drinking water is especially crucial for our vulnerable population here in town that are still without water to due broken pipes and the inability to obtain a fair amount of drinking water. We encourage these individuals to come and get a case of water.

If you have plenty of water but know of some folks who do not or who are unable to provide water for themselves or their families, please share this information with them.

Water may be available on a self-serve honor system. Please limit to one case per vehicle.

If you need water but are unable to get to City Hall and have no one to help, please TEXT Susan Galvan at 925.989.1078 and we will work to get water to you.

Distribution will continue through the week as we continue to receive our allotments of FEMA water through Travis County. Water distribution at City Hall will continue while supplies last.

LAGO VISTA CITY HALL is located at 5803 Thunderbird Street near the corner of Thunderbird and Dawn Drive near the Lago Vista Public Library.
