Austin-Travis County in Stage 3 COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

COVID-19 vaccinations continue to prove to be safe and effective. Unvaccinated individuals are urged to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
Those who qualify can receive their Pfizer booster shot at Travis County’s vaccine clinics, including the Expo Center. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, people who meet the following eligibility criteria can receive boosters of the Pfizer vaccine at least 6 months after their initial 2-dose series:
- 65 or older
- 18 or older who have underlying medical conditions
- 18 or older who work or live in high-risk settings
No appointments are required. Vaccines are free. At this time, the Pfizer vaccine is the only vaccine authorized for ages 12 – 17. The consent of a parent or guardian is required for ages 12 – 17, and the parent or guardian must be present.
