Planned Water Outage Wednesday, January 13 (and possibly Jan 14) for Rimrock Drive Area

Wednesday January 13 (and possibly Thursday, January 14, 2021)

At some time between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm

There will be a planned water outage to properties in the Rimrock Drive area. The water service interruptions are necessary to replace a broken water valve. For most properties, the service interruption is expected to last a few hours (during the hours listed.) In some cases, it could take longer. We understand water service interruptions are a major inconvenience to residents and ask for your patience with this process. Water outages will always be kept to the absolute shortest time possible.

The City will place door notices alerting residents to the water shutoff. These are generally placed on the front door, however, if your home has a gate or if the front door is inaccessible then it will be left on the gate or mailbox. When the project is complete, we will update the City’s Facebook page. Our goal is to repair Lago Vista’s infrastructure so it’s as dependable as possible. When all valves work correctly, fewer residents experience water outages when there’s a leak or main break.

As a result of water utility work, residents in the immediate vicinity of the work may experience a temporary discoloration of their water. This discoloration is caused by air in the water mains and does not affect the safety of the water. If you experience this, clear air & hardness deposits in the water pipes by running your water faucets for a minute or two.
