RFQ for Audit Services
REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
The City of Lago Vista, Texas is soliciting requests for qualifications (RFQ) from qualified firms or individuals of certified public accountants to audit its financial statements. Initial term for the audit agreement is for one (1) year with an extension of up to three (3) to five (5) years with an annual review of the process. The audits are to be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, the standards set forth for financial audits in the U.S. General Accounting Office's Government Auditing Standards (2011), the provisions of the federal Single Audit Act of 1984, and U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133, Audits of States, Local Governments, and Non-Profit Organizations. There is no expressed or implied obligation for the City to reimburse responding firms for any expenses incurred in preparing proposals to respond to this request. During the evaluation process, the City reserves the right, where it may serve the City's best interest, to request additional information or clarifications from proposers, or to allow corrections of errors or omissions. The City reserves the right to retain all proposals submitted and to use any ideas in a proposal regardless of whether that proposal is selected.
One (1) bound copy of the Statement of Qualifications, along with one (1) unbound copy, suitable for reproduction by the City, clearly marked Statement of Qualifications for Independent Financial Audit Services – Do Not Open” should be delivered to the following office by 2:00
p.m. (local time), April 30, 2020: Sandra Barton, City Secretary, City of Lago Vista, 5803 Thunderbird, Lago Vista, TX 78645. No proposal will be accepted after 2:00 p.m. Late proposals will be returned, unopened, to the proposer.
Upon consideration of the proposals, the City of Lago Vista reserves the right to accept or to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities, to make any investigation deemed necessary concerning the proposer’s ability to provide the services as covered by the specifications, and to accept what in their judgment is the most advantageous proposal.
